Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada, is an actor most well-known for her role as Bo in The Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter who was an academic, and Peter Silk, a well-known actor as well as a producer, director, writer, teacher, and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. One of Anna's first memories are of attending the play school and watching her mother do her job. Silk was a part of numerous commercials for kids. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two shows during the beginning of her career: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto Canada in the fall of 1999, to keep acting. She then relocated to Los Angeles California during the following decade. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 when they met during an Actorsworkshop located in Los Angeles. They were engaged the year 2009 and wed in a civil ceremony in December of the same year. The couple got married in Fredericton on April 10, the couple renewed their vows, following Silk's decision to convert to Judaism. Silk Cooperman was born in May 2013, a son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. Levi Aaron was her second born baby on May 13, 2016. Silk's TV work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica and she won a Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. Silk was cast in the role as Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian TV series Lost Girl in 2009. Silk was pregnant during shooting the final season of the third season. Silk announced her pregnancy to the viewers in the Showcase Season Three pre-show special of January 6, 2013. Silk posted on Twitter on June 20, 2013 that production was underway for Season 4. On 4 June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed that production had begun for Season 4 of the show. CNN's Cable News Network named her portrayal of Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples among their top TV Couples. E! named them as the most popular TV Couple for 2013.
